Call for Side Events during the Annual Meeting 2023 in The Hague

Global Research Council Inviting Side Events 2023 Proposals

On behalf of the Dutch Research Council (NWO) and the Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), hosts of the 2023 GRC Annual Meeting, the GRC Executive Secretariat is inviting GRC participant organizations to submit proposals for side events to take place within the sidelines of the Annual Meeting in The Hague, The Netherlands, in 31 May to 2 June 2023.

Side events are workshops or symposia that are organized near the GRC Annual Meeting, but are not part of the main program. Dates available for these events are 29 and 30 May  2023. The proposing organizations are responsible for organizing the side event, with limited local support from NWO and FAPESP.

Please bear in mind all GRC member organizations are invited to the side events, but on the contrary of the GRC Annual Meeting, other guests may be invited as well.

When submitting a side event idea, please consider topics that meet the GRC`s vision, mission and objectives, are current and are either global challenges, or relate to local or regional challenges but with a global impact. Please also consider the potential interest in the event among GRC participants and the wider international community. Ideally, side event proposals involve several GRC participant organizations: side events that are jointly organized by two or more organizations are particularly encouraged.

If you would like to propose a side event to the 2023 Annual Meeting, please complete the application form for side events (attached) and email to grc@fapesp.br by no later than 31 January 2023.

Information on the approved side events will be sent by the Executive Secretariat by the end of February.
